Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrap Sourcing Specialist to join our team in the plastic and metal recycling industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sources of plastic and metal scraps within the UK, with a focus on on-field activities.

• On-Field Scrap Sourcing: Conduct regular visits to potential suppliers and identify new sources for plastic and metal scraps.
• Client Relationship Management: Manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities to inform sourcing strategies.
• Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and environmental standards in the sourcing process.
• Reporting: Provide regular reports on sourcing activities, market trends, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plastic and metal scrap sourcing.
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new sources.
• Established network of clients in the recycling industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a field-based role.
