Role Description

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced Associate Data Partnerships Manager with strong expertise in business development, partnerships, outbound prospecting, negotiation, pipeline management, and B2B deal closing to identify and secure data partnerships supporting advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. The role will focus on identifying organisations with valuable operational data, engaging founders and senior decision-makers, running discovery conversations, negotiating commercial terms, and managing opportunities through signed partnership agreements. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial instincts with the ability to explain data, privacy, and AI-related concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partnership Prospecting & Pipeline Development
  • Identify companies with operational data relevant to AI training and evaluation
  • Build outbound prospecting strategies across targeted industries and company profiles
  • Engage founders, executives, business owners, and other senior decision-makers
  • Develop new partnership opportunities from initial research and outreach
  • Maintain a structured pipeline from first contact through signed agreement
• Discovery & Partner Engagement
  • Book and lead discovery calls with prospective data partners
  • Understand partner data assets, business context, and commercial objectives
  • Clearly explain potential AI-training and evaluation use cases
  • Translate technical concepts into accessible commercial language
  • Build trust and credibility throughout the partnership-development process
• Negotiation & Deal Closing
  • Negotiate partnership structures and commercial terms
  • Move qualified opportunities efficiently through the sales and contracting process
  • Address objections and resolve issues affecting deal progression
  • Maintain momentum across multi-stakeholder negotiations
  • Own opportunities through final agreement and handoff
• Data, Privacy & Commercial Communication
  • Explain data-use concepts to prospective partners clearly and accurately
  • Address questions involving privacy, security, data ownership, and anonymisation
  • Help partners understand how operational data may be prepared for AI-training workflows
  • Coordinate internally when technical, security, or legal expertise is required
  • Maintain clear communication around partnership expectations and data-handling considerations
• Partner Onboarding & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with internal teams after partnerships are signed
  • Support smooth partner onboarding and transition from commercial discussions into delivery
  • Communicate relevant deal context and partner requirements internally
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and partnership documentation
  • Collaborate across business, data, legal, and operational stakeholders as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, B2B Sales, or a closely related commercial role is preferred
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing B2B partnerships or commercial agreements
• Strong outbound prospecting and pipeline-development skills
• Comfortable engaging founders, executives, and business owners
• Confident leading discovery calls and communicating value propositions
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Resourceful and proactive approach to developing opportunities from scratch
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with significant ownership
• Motivated by measurable commercial outcomes and closing deals
• Experience in AI, data, SaaS, technology partnerships, or related sectors is advantageous

Requirements

• Full-time engagement
• Fully remote
• Base compensation: $160,000–$250,000/year
• Performance-based compensation of approximately $2,000 per closed deal
• Exact interaction between the annual compensation range and deal-based incentives should be confirmed during the hiring process
• Work will involve partnership prospecting, discovery calls, negotiation, closing, pipeline management, and partner onboarding
• Strong B2B commercial judgement and relationship-building ability are central to this role
• Partnership priorities and target industries may evolve depending on data and project requirements
