[Hiring] Senior AI Software Engineer @Cogniify

Role Description

We're seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Principal / Architect Level) to independently own AI transformation engagements with our enterprise clients end to end, from executive discovery through hands-on solution design, build, and delivery.

• Lead technical and business discovery conversations with CXOs and senior leadership.
• Diagnose real underlying problems and identify the highest-value AI opportunity.
• Design and build a working Proof of Acceleration (PoA) within a 2–3 week cycle.
• Present and defend solutions to client and investor-level stakeholders.
• Drive successful PoAs into full-scale Cogniify execution engagements.
• Mentor junior FDEs and contribute reusable frameworks, accelerators, and playbooks.
• Operate as a mobile, high-trust resource across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 9–12+ years of overall technology experience, including architect-level or technical lead roles.
• Strong business acumen and curiosity about client business operations.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability with comfort in ambiguity.
• Demonstrated experience owning solutions end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
• Strong grounding in AI/GenAI application patterns.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven ability to engage directly with C-level and senior executive stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience in client-facing consulting or engineering roles.
• Comfort with rapid context-switching across unfamiliar codebases.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Requirements

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool-layer/agent-integration patterns.
• Experience building client-facing applications using React, Next.js, or low-code platforms.
• Experience with containerization and infrastructure-as-code (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Familiarity with data quality and observability tooling.
• Prior experience working with private equity portfolio companies.
• Domain experience in financial services, healthcare, SaaS, or enterprise operations.
