[Hiring] Senior AI / ML Engineer, Medical Imaging @Calyx

Role Description

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you'll play a key role in leveraging advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, as well as software engineering, to develop innovative solutions that drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency, while contributing to the advancement of our AI capabilities.

A critical role at the heart of our development activities, you'll be involved in:

• Designing, implementing, and optimizing models to solve complex problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into production level cloud architecture.
• Ensuring scalability, reliability, security, privacy, and performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices for continuous integration/deployment of ML models.
• Strong numerical/statistical background including image processing.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and/or C++.
• Strong source code management skills with git.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking ability.
• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues within the team.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience in the same or very similar role.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in real-world applications.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies.
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Strong experience with medical imaging modalities (such as CT, MRI, PET, or SPECT) and DICOM standard.
• Experience with feature stores and ML data pipelines.
• Experience in regulated environments (GxP, Financial, etc.) or relevant experience from another domain that is transferable.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or equivalent project-related experience.
• English: Fluent.
