[Hiring] Senior AI Engineer @IXOPAY

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build and advance the AI capabilities behind IXOPAY's AI Payments Intelligence platform. In this hands-on engineering role, you'll design and develop intelligent agents, LLM-powered applications, and scalable AI infrastructure that transform complex payment data into actionable insights and automated workflows.

• Build systems that enable merchants to interact with payment intelligence through natural language.
• Explore transaction data and make smarter decisions to improve payment performance, reduce costs, and manage risk.
• Own technical initiatives from architecture and development through deployment, evaluation, and ongoing optimization.
• Shape how AI agents securely interact with IXOPAY's platform, data, and APIs.
• Ensure solutions are reliable, auditable, and built for enterprise-scale use.

Qualifications

• Advanced professional experience in Software Engineering, Backend Engineering, AI Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications.
• Python skills, with experience designing and developing scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Proven experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context management, retrieval optimization, and LLM application architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and product outcomes.
• A curious, entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for building innovative, customer-focused technology.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, multi-agent systems, or similar AI workflow architectures.
• Experience integrating LLMs with external systems, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
• Experience evaluating and improving AI application quality through testing, tracing, monitoring, regression evaluations, and performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of secure application development, authentication, authorization, and responsible handling of sensitive data.
• Experience building and operating production software in cloud environments.
• Ability to independently design and deliver complex technical solutions while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ownership-oriented approach to engineering.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
