[Hiring] Lead Machine Vision Engineer @CAPSA SOLUTIONS LLC

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead Machine Vision Engineer to own vision architecture, enhance production-grade computer vision systems, and lead innovation in pharmacy automation technology. This position reports to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture and is a REMOTE role requiring 40% travel.

As the Lead Machine Vision Engineer, you will need experience with the following:

• Strong Software Engineering Skills (Python and C++)
  • Advanced Python expertise with C++ experience for performance-critical applications.
  • Ability to develop maintainable, tested, version-controlled software following engineering best practices.
• Practical Machine Learning and Computer Vision Expertise
  • Experience training and maintaining detection/classification models.
  • Building annotated image datasets, evaluating model performance against operational metrics, and deploying GPU-based inference solutions.
  • Strong understanding of OpenCV, image processing, camera calibration, distortion correction, and barcode/DataMatrix decoding.
• Industrial Vision Hardware Experience
  • Hands-on experience with industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, exposure settings, focus, depth of field, and motion analysis.
  • Ability to diagnose imaging issues and recommend hardware or configuration changes.
• Linux, Networking, and System Integration Skills
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with networking diagnostics, packet analysis, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Integration experience using REST/gRPC and connecting on-premises systems with cloud environments such as AWS.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a comparable discipline.
• 10+ Years of Engineering Experience in Production Machine Vision Systems
• Extensive engineering experience with machine vision or applied computer vision systems operating in live production environments, not just prototypes or research projects.
