Role Description

As a Lead Machine Learning Scientist at Monzo, you will:

• Develop models that enhance customer interactions, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
• Work with billions of rows of data on a modern cloud-native data platform.
• Leverage deep experience in developing and deploying advanced Machine Learning models.
• Utilize segmentation models, contextual bandits, and personalized ranking algorithms.
• Build scalable, explainable, and responsible AI solutions.
• Encourage experimentation and innovation in solving customer problems.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience leading the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning models.
• Experience in fast-moving tech companies.
• Proven track record of developing and shipping state-of-the-art ML architectures to production.
• Extensive experience writing production Python code and strong command of SQL.
• Familiarity with Go lang is a plus.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and help resolve uncertainties.
• Product mindset focused on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
• Excitement about fast-moving developments in Machine Learning.
• Adaptable, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and ideas.
