[Hiring] Lead AI Solution Engineer @EPAM Systems

Role Description

We are looking for a seasoned Lead AI Solution Engineer for a leading oil and gas company. As an AI Solution Engineer, you will work alongside Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into reliable, scalable AI-powered solutions. You will contribute to developing AI Agents, end-to-end data applications, and the internal platform that hosts them, along with the data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation that support them.

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
• Drive the technical vision and architectural decisions for AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and engineering best practices.
• Develop AI Agents on modern LLM frameworks for analytics assistants, automation, and decision support, including engineering prompts, tools, memory, and orchestration logic for reliable agent behavior.
• Integrate AI Agents with internal data sources, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Contribute to the internal platform that hosts, deploys, and monitors AI Agents, and build reusable components for orchestration, evaluation, observability, and governance.
• Design and develop end-to-end data applications, tools, and interfaces in Python and React / JavaScript, including APIs, dashboards, and interactive interfaces that bring advanced analytics to business users.
• Build advanced analytical models and Power BI deliverables, and define standards and templates that improve consistency and reuse.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that prepare, transform, and deliver high-quality data for AI and analytics workloads.
• Deploy and operate AI solutions on cloud and hybrid infrastructure, making effective use of managed AI, compute, and storage services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for AI agents and data applications.
• Communicate with internal customers and business teams to gather requirements and feedback and to support the adoption of AI solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering standards, and promote a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles (AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Data Engineer), including hands-on experience delivering AI or data solutions to production.
• Proven leadership experience, including leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and driving delivery of complex projects.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Background in frontend development with React and JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Capability to write performant SQL on relational and analytical databases.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, working with Git, and following modern software engineering practices.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts, including data warehousing, data lakes, and ETL/ELT.
• Familiarity with Power BI, including data modeling and report development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence decision-making.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level).

Requirements

• Experience with LLM and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with Semantic Kernel or AutoGen.
• Experience with vector databases.
