[Hiring] AI Platform Framework Engineer @UNIQA Group Services

Role Description

This is a position suitable for passionate professionals who want to work for a leading European Insurance Group on a very flexible work schedule. You will work as part of a multinational group with true, large, enterprise-wide systems, complex architectures and real life constraints (speed, performance, non-stop systems availability) and are going to be part of an agile team aimed at designing and implementing enterprise level solutions.

Contract duration: permanent

Schedule: full-time (8 hrs/day, Monday to Friday)

Your responsibilities:

• Build and evolve the core foundations of the Agentic AI Platform, including agent runtime, orchestration, human-in-the-loop, resilience, RAG infrastructure, tool registry, and lifecycle services.
• Develop reusable platform services, SDKs, templates, and reference components for use case and country teams.
• Implement agent orchestration patterns, state management, tool invocation, error handling, retry, escalation, and controlled human intervention.
• Build retrieval and knowledge connectivity capabilities, including ingestion, embeddings, vector or graph integration, and retrieval APIs.
• Implement MCP and tool-calling foundations with clear contracts, versioning, policy enforcement, and developer guidance.
• Design modular components with clear separation between shared platform capabilities and use case-specific logic.
• Contribute to automated testing, evaluation, observability, secure coding, CI/CD, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Platform Architect, AI Engineers, Integration Engineer, DevOps, Security, Data, and SRE roles.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building reusable frameworks, platform services, SDKs, or distributed backend systems.
• Advanced Python development skills and strong knowledge of API design, asynchronous processing, testing, packaging, and maintainable modular architecture.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or comparable technologies.
• Practical experience implementing agent orchestration, tool calling, context and memory handling, human-in-the-loop workflows, and evaluation patterns.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval strategies, and knowledge integration.
• Good knowledge of Azure AI services, containerized cloud-native applications, identity, observability, and CI/CD.
• Experience with MCP server or client patterns and reusable enterprise integration is a strong advantage.
• Strong software craftsmanship, security awareness, documentation habits, and English communication skills.
