[Hiring] AI Integration Engineer @UNIQA Group Services

Role Description

This is a position suitable for passionate professionals who want to work for a leading European Insurance Group on a very flexible work schedule. You will work as part of a multinational group with true, large, enterprise-wide systems, complex architectures and real life constraints (speed, performance, non-stop systems availability) and are going to be part of an agile team aimed at designing and implementing enterprise level solutions.

Contract duration: permanent

Schedule: full-time (8 hrs/day, Monday to Friday)

Your responsibilities:

• Build and evolve the enterprise integration layer of the Agentic AI Platform.
• Develop and operate MCP servers and connectors that provide standardized, governed access from agents to enterprise systems and tools.
• Design API contracts, schemas, runtime interfaces, and versioning approaches for agent-to-system and platform-to-platform integration.
• Configure and integrate API management capabilities, including authentication, authorization, quotas, policies, logging, and lifecycle governance.
• Build source connectors and ingestion pipelines for knowledge and document processing, including country-specific adapters.
• Implement event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns where required by scale, freshness, and resilience needs.
• Ensure integrations are secure, observable, reusable, decoupled, and aligned with central architecture standards.
• Collaborate with source system owners, local platform teams, use case teams, security, data, architecture, and operations.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in enterprise integration engineering, API development, middleware, or integration platform development.
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, schema design, interface contracts, and integration testing.
• Experience with API gateways and API management, preferably Azure API Management, including security policies, throttling, logging, and lifecycle management.
• Practical experience building connectors, adapters, or service integration components in Python, Java, .NET, or comparable enterprise technologies.
• Understanding of MCP and agent tool integration patterns; hands-on MCP server development is a strong advantage.
• Experience with RAG ingestion, document pipelines, ETL or CDC patterns, and enterprise data sources is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, managed identities, secrets, network security, observability, and resilient integration design.
• Ability to work across central and local teams in English; experience in heterogeneous international IT landscapes is beneficial.
