[Hiring] AI-First Social Media Analyst @Storm Ideas

Role Description

We're looking for an analyst who treats AI as the default way to work. Social analytics is full of repetitive, high-volume work that is largely automatable. You'll be expected to build that automation yourself, ensuring every recurring task you touch gets faster the second time you do it.

To be direct about the trade: AI does the grunt work, you own the accuracy. We hold AI-assisted output to a higher standard than manual output.

What You’ll Make Happen:

• Collaborating with fellow analysts and other internal teams to contribute to a variety of client-facing insights reports.
• Gathering and analysing performance data from social media networks.
• Developing mastery of analytics tools, including Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and YouTube Studio.
• Building AI-assisted workflows that reduce reporting tasks from hours to minutes.
• Using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) as an analytical partner.
• Rigorously verifying AI output before it reaches a client.
• Creating visually appealing and consistently designed reports and presentations.
• Generating content and strategy recommendations from data analysis of clients' social accounts.
• Compiling recommendations into a written format for external stakeholders.
• Documenting prompts, workflows, and automations for team use.
• Continuously looking for areas of improvement to enhance report quality and client value.
• Updating and maintaining documentation on reporting processes.
• Following client and competitor accounts on social media to understand effective strategies.

Qualifications

• Excellent numeracy skills and ability to analyse data quantitatively and qualitatively.
• Genuine hands-on experience using AI tools in real work.
• Healthy scepticism and ability to spot when a model is confidently wrong.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Unparalleled attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and complete tasks to deadlines.
• Social media experience is a plus, but not a necessity.

Requirements

• Experience in creating and executing social media performance reports.
• Experience with 3rd party social analytics tools, such as Sprout Social and Sprinklr.
• Experience with social networks' native analytics tools, such as Facebook Creator Studio and YouTube Studio.
• Light scripting ability (Python, SQL, Apps Script) or the confidence to learn with AI assistance.
• Experience with automation tooling (Zapier, Make, n8n) or agentic AI tools.
• A side project, script, or workflow you built due to frustration with existing processes.
