Role Description

This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home.

We are seeking young talent for our global AI & Data Center of Excellence (CoE) in Madrid, Spain. As an AI & Data Intern in Madrid’s CoE, you will be working in international projects and contributing to develop, incubate, standardize, and promote AI & Data solutions globally.

Our Internship program is designed to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong technical potential and strategic thinking capability. During the program, you’ll be able to create and collaborate on AI & Data projects that challenge and inspire you. You will work on internal or customer-facing initiatives, with exposure to the following technical areas:

• Development of advanced analytics and machine learning/deep learning models
• Implementation of data engineering pipelines
• Integration of AI & Data ecosystem software
• Implementation of MLOps practices and tools

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the project lifecycle.
• Understand the company's technologies to deliver part of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.
• Work under supervision of technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Resolve most technical assignments or issues independently within your technical area.
• Work with team members to resolve more complex or cross-technology assignments or issues.
• Begin to proactively and reactively provide solutions to prevent problems from occurring in area of responsibility.
• Participate as part of a team and develop good relationships with team members and customers in assigned projects.
• Understand the company's strategy.
• Be aware of knowledge tools and their application.
• Participate in chosen technical community or profession, and regularly attend profession or community of interest events.
• Maintain technical knowledge updated and learn new technologies in a short period.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related areas of study.
• Undertaking Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence or Big Data would be beneficial.
• Spanish native and fluent in English.

Requirements

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, Java, C, Unix Shell scripting.
• Conceptual understanding of Information Technology (IT) environments.
• Passion for new and emerging AI and Data technologies, and ability to keep updated in technological innovations and new releases.
• Willingness to participate in international projects.
• Active listening skills and ability to adjust messages to audience level.
• Communicate effectively to technical level and first-level management within an organization.
• Problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive, and creative).
• Able to produce basic documentation to required standards.
• Demonstrates understanding of assigned discipline or technical area.
