Role Description

• Fabricate assemblies by using welds and mechanical fasteners according to accepted methods.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Positions, aligns, fits and welds parts together.
• Set up and operate hand tools.
• Verifies fabricated elements meet design specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding (+1 year), manufacturing setting or related fields.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Familiar with welding tools (drill press, band saw and hand tools).
• Practices safe and correct procedures of metalworking equipment in shop environment.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
• MIG / PULSE weld steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
• Follow quality standards by providing great attention to detail.
• Ensure work is done safely.
• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
• Ability to work as a team to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Lift raw materials (up to 60 pounds).
• Must have the ability to weld and fabricate components complete by interpreting and analyzing drawing files; maintaining quality and safety standards; keep detailed records; maintain shop equipment and supplies.
