Role Description
The Vice President of Consulting is responsible for shaping and leading the organization’s strategic advisory and creative services practices, creating a premium client experience, and ensuring execution excellence across our client engagements.
- Oversee both the consulting and creative teams to deliver strategy-first, high-impact, and creatively driven solutions.
- Address client challenges such as market visibility, revenue generation, business repositioning, and brand evolution.
- Build a market-leading advisory function that complements the organization’s product offerings.
- Enhance the organization’s creative impact and strengthen its reputation for thought leadership and client-centric excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Lead the strategic services, creative services, and project management teams.
- Develop and refine playbooks, templates, and frameworks that represent the Servant Way of serving customers.
- Establish best practices for delivering on client requests for visibility, revenue generation, and digital transformation.
- Define clear roles, performance metrics, and accountability structures to ensure team alignment with the Servant mission.
- Serve as a day-to-day escalation point for project issues, ensuring efficient resolution.
Client Project Leadership
- Lead teams to deliver value-driven, actionable strategies supporting client goals.
- Build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Represent and amplify the voice of the client within Servant.
- Maintain a pulse on the health and customer sentiment of all engagements.
- Forecast escalations and proactively solve issues while identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Project Management
- Oversee team that successfully delivers projects, ensuring they meet budget, scope, and timeline requirements.
Strategic & Creative Service Development
- Build a scalable portfolio of strategic advisory and creative services tailored to client needs.
- Monitor market needs and proactively shape the team’s skill set through internal development or talent acquisition.
Executive Leadership and Collaboration
- Function as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing direction and decision-making.
- Own and operationalize the Servant Way of serving customers.
- Partner across departments to integrate client strategies with technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to streamline cost and operational processes.
Operational and Financial Management
- Ensure business unit profitability by effectively managing employee downtime.
- Forecast incoming work via the sales pipeline to ensure talent availability.
- Proactively source contract services through Servant Talent.
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the Servant Way and track client success.
Direct Participation Expectations
- Actively involved with customers, maintaining a 50% billability rate.
- Travel up to 50% to support client relationships, team leadership, and business development activities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in management consultancy with a focus on digital transformation.
- Experience leading high-performing consulting teams and mentoring talent.
- Ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies.
- Client-focused thought leader known for driving innovation.
- Desire to serve others and align teams around a vision bigger than themselves.
- Agile, collaborative, and able to thrive in a start-up environment.
- Highly comfortable with ambiguity.
