[Hiring] VP Membership @MMA Global

Role Description

Marketing + Media Alliance (MMA) is seeking a VP of Membership, Solution Providers to own how MMA builds and protects membership value for its solution provider members — the AdTech, MarTech, data, measurement, and services companies (includes Google, Meta, TikTok, Omnicom, BCG, Circana, and dozens more) that provide solutions to marketers.

• You own that membership outright — 100% of it.
• Member satisfaction as measured by a member NPS, and everything that drives it: positioning, benefits, what we build, the programs we run, and how well they are executed.
• High-visibility industry role requiring fluid movement between the cultures and structures of the AdTech, MarTech, data, and services companies.
• Build trust, followership, and partnerships that keep members engaged.
• Focus on genuine personal relationships and hitting financial goals.
• Strategic vision and disciplined execution to drive membership growth and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; advanced degrees are valued but not needed.
• 10–15+ years of experience in marketing, with time in membership or senior client/account management.
• Strong understanding of the MarTech and AdTech ecosystem.
• Proven record of managing retention, renewal, and engagement processes at scale.
• Quality written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Develop the annual membership strategy for your side of the business.
• Own the solution provider value proposition end to end.
• Create real value for individual solution provider companies.
• Drive retention and renewal — onboarding, account management, and member communications.
• Deepen and broaden engagement within member companies.
• Oversee marketing assets built for members.
• Own engagement metrics and the systems behind them.
• Manage the B2B CMO Council.
• Line manage a membership team of 2–3 people.
• Partner closely with the other VP of Membership.
• Manage peer groups that foster a tight-knit community of marketing and media executives.
• Partner with the Database Manager on membership database growth.
