[Hiring] VP, General Manager Lending @Caribou Financial

Role Description

Caribou is looking for a leader to manage the strategy and relationships that make up our Lending products – the core of everything we do to help our customers save money so they can focus on what is important to them. This VP level role reports to our President, and will serve as a partner to define our end to end lending strategy.

• Own our lending strategy in partnership with our President and executive team.
• Manage our 50+ lending relationships, ensuring we’re providing the best outcomes for our partners and for Caribou.
• Oversee our core lending KPIs and the impact on our business.
• Regularly audit the lending portfolio to identify underperforming segments and proactively pivot strategy to maximize conversion and "look-to-book" ratios.
• Drive cross functional execution internally and externally in service of our core lending KPIs.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with the team to assess performance and drive cross functional progress against our lending OKRs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience from a mix of senior level operations or strategy related experience, management consulting, high-growth business/startup.
• 5+ years of experience directly managing others.
• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise sales or account management environment, developing positive and collaborative relationships with partners externally.
• Experience working in Lending or Financial at a high growth company is preferred.
• Proven experience building and leading teams in high-growth environments.
• Metrics-driven with the ability to draw insight from complex data.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and influencing skills.

Requirements

• This role can be based out of one of our Caribou offices in Denver, CO or Chandler, AZ.
• Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL, or Washington, DC metro areas.
• This role requires travel, up to 50% of the time, to attend industry events, meet with our partners, and attend occasional in person working sessions with the team in our Denver, Chicago, Phoenix office.
