Role Description
This role involves video editing for various platforms, focusing on engaging content for non-English speakers.
- Expertise in editing for short-form and mid-length videos (reels, promos, social media ads)
- Understanding of visual hooks, pacing, and storytelling rhythm
- Ability to match edits with platform behavior — fast cuts, high engagement moments, retention tactics
- Strong grasp of color grading, text animations, and sound design to enhance storytelling
- Knowledge of ad metrics — understanding what kind of edits boost CTR and completion rates
- Ability to work closely with writers and creative leads for seamless execution of concepts
- Up-to-date with editing trends, meme culture, and audio trends
- Strong command over two languages minimum — English and their native language — both written and spoken, to bring cultural nuance and flexibility in writing
