Role Description
As VP of Operations, you will establish and lead IOG's new Enterprise Operations function during our transition from centralized to distributed operations. Reporting to the President, you will bring together three key operational capabilities: Enterprise Process Management, Strategic Integration Office (SIO), and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Your mandate is to maintain critical company-wide processes while enabling greater functional autonomy across the organization.
- Focus on creating systematic approaches that replace informal ways of working
- Implement clear frameworks for cross-functional coordination
- Ensure effective enterprise-wide processes
- Serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to the Strategic Business Operations team
- Collaborate closely with the Culture, Communications and Adoption team
- Drive operational excellence while supporting organizational evolution
- Balance immediate operational stability with long-term transformation
- Build high-performing teams and foster strong partnerships across the organization
- Optimize resource allocation and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure operational capabilities evolve to support IOG's strategic objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of progressive operations experience in complex, global organizations
- At least 5 years in senior leadership roles, managing diverse operational functions
- Demonstrated success in transitioning organizations from centralized to distributed operations
- Track record of implementing and optimizing enterprise-wide processes
- Experience managing technology functions and working with technical teams
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a global environment
- Experience influencing and collaborating across organizational boundaries
- Success in managing change while maintaining operational stability
- History of effective stakeholder management at executive level
Requirements
- Proven ability to design and implement effective operational frameworks
- Strong process optimization and systematic thinking capabilities
- Experience in managing technology and operational transformations
- Track record of delivering operational efficiency and measurable improvements
- Demonstrated ability to lead through organizational change
- Strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills
- Capacity to balance immediate needs with long-term objectives
- Ability to translate complex challenges into actionable plans
- Strong decision-making capabilities in ambiguous environments
- Proven experience in managing organizational transformation
- Ability to maintain stability during transition periods
- Cultivates a learning-oriented environment, actively integrating new methodologies and best practices into operational frameworks
