Role Description

The Vice President, Fundraising is a senior enterprise leader responsible for setting, strengthening, and delivering a multi-year fundraising strategy that sustains and accelerates TNTP’s impact. This role is charged with building a world-class fundraising function and culture—ensuring TNTP has the right models, processes, systems, and capabilities to fund its evolving strategic priorities over time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strengthen the Fundraising Function & Culture
  • Assess and strengthen TNTP’s fundraising model, culture, processes, and systems.
  • Build a shared, enterprise-wide understanding of how fundraising happens at TNTP.
  • Lead the evolution toward a more scalable, proactive, and strategic fundraising function.
• Enterprise Fundraising Strategy & Strategic Plan Alignment
  • Own and deliver a multi-year fundraising strategy and revenue model aligned to TNTP’s strategic plan.
  • Ensure new and emerging priorities in the strategic plan are resourced effectively.
  • Translate strategy into clear annual plans.
• Portfolio Leadership, Diversification & Growth
  • Lead a robust and diversified fundraising portfolio.
  • Expand and diversify funding across geographies, donor types, and giving structures.
  • Personally manage and close a portfolio of highest-priority funder relationships.
  • Lead TNTP’s public funding strategy.
  • Ensure strong alignment between public and philanthropic funding strategies.
• Organization-Wide Partnership & External Engagement
  • Serve as a strategic partner to program, research, and regional leaders.
  • Partner with the CEO, Executive Team, and Board to strengthen TNTP’s external positioning.
  • Shape and operationalize a compelling value proposition.
• Team Leadership & World-Class Capability Building
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing fundraising team.
  • Build a world-class fundraising team with strong strategic thinking and execution excellence.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development pathways.
• Systems, Infrastructure & Operational Excellence
  • Strengthen fundraising infrastructure and operations.
  • Ensure strong coordination with Finance on budgeting and grant management.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve decision-making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive fundraising/development leadership.
• Demonstrated success leading teams to ambitious revenue goals.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward high-value relationships.
• Strong executive presence and partnership skills.
• Experience building and improving fundraising infrastructure and processes.
• Strategic and analytical mindset.
• Skilled people leader with a track record of hiring and developing talent.
• Commitment to TNTP’s vision, values, and operating principles.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Requirements

• Experience setting strategy and delivering results at the senior/executive level.
• Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• Ability to advise and elevate leaders in fundraising strategy.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
