[Hiring] Vendor Support Contractor @L10n People Ltd

Role Description

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented contractor to support our vendor management team. This is hands-on operational work - keeping our systems, communications, and records running smoothly as we continue to grow our program.

Key Tasks

• User Management
  • Onboard new users and provision accounts/credentials across relevant systems
  • Keep access records accurate and up to date
• Information Management
  • Update vendor details (rates, contact info, other key records) in our trackers
  • Draft and send announcements, blasts, and targeted outreach to vendors/linguists
  • Track and log responses, following up as needed
• Vendor Recommendations
  • Pull from existing vendor data to help project managers identify suitable vendors for specific projects (e.g., by language pair, rate, availability, past performance)
• Linguist Support
  • Respond to inbound linguist questions, primarily via email
  • Escalate anything that needs specialized input
• Documentation
  • File and organize documents and records digitally
  • Maintain clear, easy-to-navigate folder structures

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable with mail merge for bulk communications
• Proficient in Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive, as well as shared email platforms like Front or Fin
• Clear, professional written communication (a lot of this role is email-based)
• Bias for efficiency and proposing process improvements/automation
• Able to work independently and manage a steady volume of recurring tasks
• Experience with vendor/data management or coordination roles a plus
