[Hiring] Underground Miner (Remote Scoop Operator) @Alamos Gold

Role Description

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for the position of Underground Miner (Remote Scoop Operator). The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of remote scoop.

• Safely operating LHD equipment;
• Mucking underground ore/waste material;
• Loading haulage trucks;
• Meet the daily productive goals required for the job;
• Perform preoperational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner;
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ underground experience;
• Accreditation in U/G common core modules and specialty modules;
• Strong Safety focus;
• Self-motivated ability to work alone;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently;
• Able to read mine plans/drawings;
• Preferred candidate will possess previous experience operating remote scoop.

Requirements

• 10-hour shifts on a 7/7 rotating schedule;
• Pay range: $33.80 CAD to $41.91 CAD.
