Role Description

The Triage Specialist supports a federal agency by receiving, reviewing, and directing incident reports to the appropriate point of contact. The Triage Specialist works as part of a small team of federal and contract staff to ensure inbox coverage 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. The schedule for this position will be Thursday - Monday or Saturday - Wednesday.

• Monitor a shared incident response inbox in collaboration with other team members to ensure timely response and incident elevation.
• Analyze each incoming incident in accordance with federal policies to ensure incidents are documented correctly and routed to the appropriate point of contact.
• Provide technical assistance in situations where incident reports need to be corrected and/or resubmitted in accordance with policy.
• Create shift reports and complete other activities necessary to prepare team members to take over inbox coverage.
• Catalog and file incidents in keeping with policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a tracking system for reported incidents and perform quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends in incident reporting.
• Provide reports on inbox activity on regular and as-needed bases.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of related experience.
• Experience in case management, child welfare, or social work required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members in a remote environment.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and performing basic data analysis preferred.

Requirements

• Must be able and willing to work weekends and some holidays.
• This position requires an existing Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.
• This position is 100% remote.
