Role Description

The Senior Learning & Development Consultant is responsible for the technical design, development, and execution of learning solutions for the Underwriting group.

Collaborate closely with home office and field organization leaders to identify development needs and implement learning strategies.
Focus on key programs, technical underwriting training, and general underwriter development.
End-to-end coordination of training sessions, including defining, designing, developing, deploying, evaluating, and providing logistical support for delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent with professional designation preferred.
Typically a minimum of 8 years educational design/development and training experience.
Insurance industry and subject matter knowledge preferred.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of learning design, instructional methods, and training techniques, including curriculum design principles, adult learning, and blended learning theory and strategies.
Proficiency in learning technologies, including Learning & Content Management Systems, eLearning tools, mobile-enabled learning, and virtual training platforms (WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.) required.
Experience with content development tools, especially Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Peak, Studio, Replay) required.
Proficiency in creating and editing multimedia content, including videos, animations, and interactive presentations.
Familiarity with software such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other multimedia tools required.
Solid knowledge of the organization's products, processes, and procedures.
Ability to translate strategic goals into training and development program materials.
Highly collaborative and comfortable navigating organizational dynamics.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven analytical and project management skills.
Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
