[Hiring] Test Development Specialist @Prov Inc

Role Description

The Test Development Specialist supports the creation, maintenance, and validation of high-quality licensure and certification examinations. This role works closely with internal teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and client boards to ensure exams are fair, legally defensible, psychometrically sound, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Support the development and maintenance of examination content, including item writing, review, and revision
• Coordinate and facilitate item writing and review workshops with subject matter experts
• Ensure exam content aligns with test plans, job/task analyses, and applicable regulations
• Assist with exam form assembly, item banking, and content tracking
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Support exam lifecycle activities, including updates, refreshes, and retirement of items
• Maintain clear documentation related to test development processes and decisions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with psychometric, operations, and client services teams
• Respond to client or board inquiries related to exam content and development processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (education, psychology, assessment, or related field preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in test development, assessment, education, or a related field preferred
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment
• Comfortable working with SMEs, regulatory boards, and cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaborative tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Teams)

Requirements

• Familiarity with licensure or certification exams
• Exposure to psychometric principles or standardized testing best practices
• Experience supporting remote meetings or workshops
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
