  • Perform in-process and final quality reviews of survey deliverables and any assigned installation work. Follow company and customer safety, administrative, and documentation requirements.
  • Additional installation responsibilities when assigned:
    • Equipment, common systems hardware, wiring, or circuit additions, modifications, and removals; software additions or upgrades; equipment testing, turn-up, and integration.

  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, engineering, and project management to resolve scope or drawing questions through defined processes. Escalate items requiring approval or technical direction.
  • Maintain required company and customer records, drawing updates, work schedules, MOPs, risk documentation, test records, and completion reports as applicable. Review assigned team members’ time and expense documentation for accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical school training in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field is preferred.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of telecommunications installation methods, low- and high-density fiber systems, copper cabling, AC/DC power, UPS and battery systems, infrastructure, and supervisory or alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of fiber installation practices and experience with applicable fiber, copper, and coaxial cable testing. Ability to read, follow, and prepare MOPs and understand the risks of working around operating equipment.
  • Proficient laptop skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, and the ability to complete electronic survey templates, organize photographs, and maintain drawing markups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate site conditions, technical questions, progress, and issues clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a field crew and independently produce accurate survey documentation with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify and document power sources and distribution infrastructure. Electrical testing or modifications must be within the assigned scope, applicable qualifications, and approved procedures.
