Role Description

SCS Global Services is seeking passionate and qualified auditors to join our team as a Technical Specialist I, B Lab. This position is responsible for conducting third-party certification audits for organizations seeking to become Certified B Corporations. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting technical reviews of audit reports to verify conformity with applicable standards and auditing principles.
• Conducting third-party audits ensuring compliance with B Lab Standards.
• Conducting interviews and performing site inspections when necessary.
• Reviewing organizational documentation, processes, and practices.
• Completing audits by adhering to agreed timelines and professional requirements.
• Providing clear, actionable recommendations and issuing audit reports.
• Supporting the documentation, communication, and closure of audit findings.
• Identifying non-conformities and areas for improvement.
• Participating in audit planning, execution, and follow-up activities.
• Maintaining impartiality and confidentiality throughout the audit lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g., sustainability, environmental science, social sciences).
• 2+ years of professional experience in sustainability, social, or related fields.
• Experience conducting audits of sustainability and/or management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or RSPO.
• Knowledge or experience in ISO 14001:2015 or similar, environmental/human rights/labor laws, or GHG accounting standards.
• Excellent technical writing, observation, and data management skills.
• Strong communication abilities with demonstrated skills in critical analysis and objective evaluation.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Fluent in English with professional experience in verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; advanced level in Excel.
• Initiative and ability to work independently; responsive and adaptive to diverse team environments.
• Successful completion and exam pass of mandatory B Lab training courses.

Requirements

• Experience with B Corp certification audits (V1.6).
• Industry-specific experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental/social management.
• Knowledge of impact materiality assessments and ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD).
• Multi-language proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, or German).
• Lead Auditor training course based on ISO 19011:2018.
