Role Description

If so, we have a unique opportunity for a dynamic and creative Technical Specialist - Monogastric to contribute to the success of our expanding teams through training, technical support, and much more.

Conduct field visits to distributors and customers, providing technical support to sales and distribution teams across North America.

What You Can Expect Day-to-Day:

• Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, you will plan and deliver technical training and support activities throughout North America and assume the following key responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver relevant technical training programs focused on industry challenges and solutions for internal teams and distributors while monitoring resulting performance improvements.
• Share market and sales insights to support technical and commercial teams.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other business development activities to support strategic objectives, gather relevant industry information, and promote Jefo’s technical solutions.
• Identify strategic market development opportunities and emerging industry trends.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support new product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with the ASC department on research projects and product development programs.
• Standardize new trial protocols in collaboration with ASC and field consultants.
• Coordinate and centralize field trials for products.
• Build, maintain, and optimize strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
• Prepare technical documentation, including presentations, reports, communications, scientific articles, and conference abstracts.
• Centralize and analyze competitive products, including positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and substitution opportunities, to ensure optimal positioning of Jefo products, with support from the Product Management team.
• Develop, centralize, and recommend positioning strategies, sales tools, and solution messaging for management approval.
• Support the marketing team in the development of tools and materials for new product launches.
• Create and update marketing documentation, including PowerPoint presentations, research reports, field trial reports, and related materials, in collaboration with the Director of Technical Services, ASC, and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D., or DVM).
• Genuine passion for training and providing technical support across multiple departments.
• Strong knowledge of animal nutrition and physiology, specifically poultry and swine.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules when necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, deadlines, time management, and budget management.
• Commitment to producing high-quality and accurate documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to follow established procedures.
• Strong research, reporting, and presentation development capabilities.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the agricultural and animal feed industries, with extensive knowledge of animal production.
• Ration formulation experience.
• Bilingualism (French) is considered a strong asset.
