[Hiring] Technical Consultant @Bloomreach

1wk ago - Bloomreach is hiring a remote Technical Consultant. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: Europe, APAC

Role Description

As a Technical Consultant (TC), you lead the technical delivery of Bloomreach Product Discovery implementations for EMEA and APAC enterprise commerce customers. You act as the primary technical point of contact during onboarding and complex enhancement projects, designing and guiding integrations across product feed, tracking, APIs, and dashboard configuration to ensure a successful go-live and measurable business value. You will remotely support customers primarily across Europe, and where needed APAC, collaborating effectively across time zones.

You’ll work closely with:

  • Solutions Architects
  • Service Delivery Managers
  • Technical and Business Consultants
  • Product Engineering
  • Client development teams

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client integration & solution delivery
  • Own the technical implementation of Bloomreach Discovery from kickoff to post–go-live transition for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with pre‑sales Solution Architects to understand committed scope and confirm the features and use cases that must be implemented on the customer’s site as part of handover.
  • Product feed integration: Consult clients on how to model and generate their product catalogs for Discovery.
  • Work with internal tools/teams to ensure feed data is correctly ingested, validated, and optimized in the Bloomreach platform.
  • Pixel / tracking integration: Advise on implementing the Bloomreach pixel / Web SDK for behavioral tracking and events (search, browse, cart, purchase, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal engineering/analytics teams to validate that tracking data is received and mapped correctly.
  • API integration: Guide client developers on using Bloomreach Discovery APIs (search, category, recommendations, autocomplete) to power storefront experiences.
  • Provide reference implementations and patterns to address customer-specific use cases (e.g., multi‑site, multi‑language, complex merchandising logic).
  • Dashboard & merchandising enablement: Configure and sanity-check account settings and integrations in the Discovery admin tools.
  • Consult customers on how to use merchandising rules, boosting, and other tools to meet business goals.
  • Quality assurance, go‑live, and transition: Maintain a Go‑Live Health Checklist covering feed, tracking, APIs, search relevance, and dashboard configuration, and ensure all critical items are signed off before launch.
  • Support go‑live cutover, monitoring performance and key events, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve any launch‑critical issues.
  • After a defined hyper‑care period, transition the account to Support / Customer Success, ensuring that known issues, configuration, and project documentation are clearly handed over.
  • Collaboration & internal improvements: Work with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to keep projects on track, proactively highlighting risks, dependencies, and scope challenges.
  • Liaise with Support to investigate and resolve complex technical issues on existing Discovery accounts when TC expertise is required.
  • Identify gaps in customer-facing and internal documentation, and contribute updates, runbooks, and examples to improve repeatability and quality of future projects.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to validate new features in pilot implementations, provide structured feedback from the field, and review Product Requirements and technical designs where TC input is needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years in a technical services, solutions engineering, implementation consulting, or similar role in a SaaS / e‑commerce / martech environment (P2 level).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with web technologies.
  • Solid understanding of e‑commerce platforms (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, commercetools, Adobe/Magento, SAP Commerce) and how they integrate with third‑party services.
  • Experience with search / recommendation / personalization technologies (e.g., Solr, Elasticsearch, SaaS product discovery platforms) is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working with logs, developer tools, and data to debug feed, tracking, and API issues.
  • Proven ability to own integration workstreams, from requirements clarification through to production deployment and QA.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications, data contracts, and tracking documents.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery practices and risk/issue management.
  • Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong client‑facing presence, able to lead technical discussions, manage expectations, and push back constructively when necessary.
  • Proven consulting mindset: able to uncover underlying business objectives, challenge assumptions, and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Comfort facilitating workshops, technical deep‑dives, and handover sessions with client and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with Bloomreach Discovery or similar SaaS product discovery platforms.
  • Exposure to real‑time personalization, segmentation, or CDP integrations (e.g., using customer segments from another system into Discovery).
  • Knowledge of tag managers (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Tealium) and instrumentation of tracking across multi‑site setups.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, or multi‑brand commerce environments.

Benefits

  • A great deal of freedom and trust; no corporate rules or long approval processes.
  • Defined values and behaviors embedded in processes like recruitment and performance review.
