Role Description

This role involves supporting students in the Data Science Career Track Plus program by answering their questions and helping them progress through the curriculum.

Be available on time for your scheduled TA shift(s)
Respond to students within at most 30 minutes
Provide high quality responses to student questions and technical/curricular review requests via email and chat
Keep interaction times per student below 30 minutes
Notify the Springboard team of planned breaks and vacations at least 1 week in advance

Expectations

Available on your shift to answer subject matter questions and provide feedback/troubleshooting on student exercises, projects, and other curriculum-related elements via Help Scout
Available for five ~4-hour shifts during regular business hours Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM Pacific Time
Empathetic, kind, polite, and have excellent written communication skills
Patient and able to analyze student issues and adapt to the dynamics of the interaction
Able to demonstrate interest in the student's success
Proficient with and able to explain usage of tools covered in the data science curriculum
Effective at guiding learners through content and troubleshooting technical questions
Great at time management and prioritizing important elements during high TA demand
Familiar with other student support channels and able to direct students appropriately
