Role Description
This role involves verifying the Tajik language through various tasks related to language verification tests.
- Create language verification tests following detailed instructions
- Quality control of existing language verification tests
- Evaluate language test submissions
- Perform quality control on audio and video files
- Ongoing and project-based workload dependent on project needs
Payment is based on work completed at the following rates:
- Language verification test review - USD $50, one-time fee
- Language verification test grading - USD $15 per graded submission
Responsibilities
- Carry out assigned tasks
- Meet assigned deadlines
- Report progress proactively to project managers
- Communicate with project managers in a timely and effective manner
- Follow guidelines and requirements as dictated by the project manager
- Communicate in English with project managers via email (verbal communication is not required)
Skills
- Native-level (C2) proficiency in Tajik
- Ability to read and write in Tajik
- Familiarity with linguistics, grammar, and writing systems of Tajik
- Knowledge of colloquialisms, grammar, and linguistic idiosyncrasies unique to Tajik
- Ability to record yourself speaking clearly in a quiet environment
- Responsiveness to email
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Computer and internet skills
- Web search skills
- Typing skills
- A good command of English is preferred
Requirements
- Native-level (C2) proficiency in Tajik, including the ability to read and write
- Previous professional experience working in Tajik
- Formal education in Tajik, secondary school or higher, strongly preferred
- Masters or PhD in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or Tajik, preferred
- Personal laptop or access to a computer
- Access to the internet
- Access to email
- The job cannot be completed from your phone
- Payment methods are PayPal, Payoneer, or otherwise agreed upon method
- Payment will be made on a 60-day pay cycle
- Pay rate is in US dollars and payment will be made in US dollars
