[Hiring] System Manager Laboratory Information Systems @CommonSpirit Health

Role Description

This is a remote position.

The System Manager provides strategic oversight of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) activities across CommonSpirit, including but not limited to:

• Interfaces
• Middleware
• Point of care connections
• Optimization of LIS functionality for maximum lab efficiencies
• Focus on standardization and reduction in variability

Collaborates with other members of the System Lab Service Line to deliver the system's laboratory services strategy. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in System Laboratory Design Approval Groups (LDGA)
• Facilitating ad hoc and ongoing Laboratory Transformation Council Workgroups related to LIS functions
• Training and supporting LIS efforts
• Providing LIS leadership for system-wide and regional standardization projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
• Managing LIS operations, functions, projects, and initiatives
• Leading the coordination of LIS activities to ensure alignment with the system laboratory strategy
• Providing LIS guidance, support, and training to departmental directors and LIS Coordinators
• Facilitating assigned national workgroups and ensuring adherence to established goals and objectives
• Providing subject matter expertise to national councils and workgroups

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Laboratory Science or Information Technology
• Minimum 5-10 years related experience in clinical laboratory science operations and/or information systems
