Role Description

This role involves supporting NOAA Fisheries’ SSB of the NEFSC to enhance their data collection, processing, storage, and accessibility capabilities.

• Develop and maintain 10 different online cost survey versions using Qualtrics software.
• Code and create survey features for both mobile and desktop versions following best practices.
• Create features for survey access, including landing pages and QR codes.
• User test all survey features and develop secure links for participant access.
• Create guidance documents and/or media for training SSB staff on using Qualtrics surveys.
• Database previously collected cost survey data from 2006-2008 on Oracle servers.
• Create metadata and proper documentation for existing databases.
• Update the cost data visualization tool as needed.
• Harmonize socioeconomic data and web tools generated by the SSB.

Qualifications

• High-speed internet access.
• Experience programming in the Qualtrics platform.

Requirements

• Ability to generate 10 gear-based cost survey versions using Qualtrics Software.
• Experience creating skip logic, value thresholds, and data entry prompts for surveys.
• Capability to debug and user-test survey versions.
• Experience in creating participant-specific survey QR codes and unique individual survey links.
• Knowledge of security protocols for accessing secure links.
• Experience in creating guidance documents and video training tutorials.
• Ability to participate in regular meetings with the Cost Survey Working Group.
• Experience in databasing and creating metadata for survey data.
• Ability to assist in updating the cost data visualization tool.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
