[Hiring] Support Officer - Aged Care @Australian Red Cross

Role Description

The Support Officer - Aged and Community Care supports entry-level (non-clinical) digital, in-home, and community-based aged and community care programs to support participants to maintain social connectedness and independence.

Working as part of an integrated Nationwide Aged and Community Care team, the role will:

• Collaborate with functional teams including Intake, Quality, Operations, and Finance.
• Ensure programs are informed by participant choice, provide dignity and respect, and are responsive to identity, culture, and diversity.
• Coordinate, supervise, train, and support a large volunteer workforce.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow and implement Frameworks, policies, procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and standards.
• Sound understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable principles.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative; work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent records management and general administration skills.
• Ability to solve work-related problems of limited difficulty using knowledge, judgement, and work skills.
• Thorough knowledge in coordinating, managing, training, and supporting volunteers.
• Sound knowledge and experience in using software applications including databases, client management systems, mobile/tablet applications, and Microsoft suite of programs.
