[Hiring] Supplier Quality Engineer @Embraer

Role Description

This position requires up to 80% travel to supplier locations. Candidate preferred location is Northeast US. Remote position.

Take the lead in Supplier Quality Rescue Projects, driving issue resolution, action plans and strategic supplier improvement. Collaborate with our Team in Brazil to ensure that our supplier quality targets are met by:

• Conducting on-site supplier audits and visits
• Investigating quality problems
• Implementing sustainable solutions
• Providing regular progress updates to our Top Management

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering; master's degree preferred
• According to professional experience required in the job position
• Fluency in English is required
• Bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, or French a plus

Requirements

• Quality & Problem-Solving Expertise
• Strong understanding of quality management principles and problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred)
• Experience leading problem-solving projects in operations, supplier management, or development environments
• Ability to set up and coordinate supplier problem-solving programs
• Technical & Analytical Skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, publications, and reliability analyses
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Analytical, process-oriented thinking with a proactive and assertive approach
• Conflict management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel internationally, including long-term assignments
