[Hiring] Supplier Quality & Development Professional @RTX

Role Description

Collins aerospace is looking to hire a Supplier Quality & Development Professional to join the Collins Global Supplier Quality Tiger Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects as an individual contributor.
• Achieving objectives that have a major impact on the organization goals.
• Providing input on supplier qualification/certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
• Managing supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, and processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material.
• Managing/supporting supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
• Managing source inspection and material release processes.
• Performing escape management procedures, driving root cause analysis & problem solving, and recommending corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.
• Proactively supporting the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
• Analyzing quality data to identify systemic issues and developing supplier-specific quality initiative strategies.
• Ensuring that suppliers are capable of meeting all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance, and Work Transfer implementation.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• 8+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
• Experience in Quality Regulations, Quality Core Tools Knowledge, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Experience in QMS (AS 9100, ISO 9001).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/industrial engineering preferred.
• Practical Problem Solving, International Management.
• Experience in FAA, TC, EASA.
• Auditing/Assessing, Risk Management / Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) desirable.
• Desirable Green Belt/Black Belt certification & CPIM certification (Certified in Production & Inventory Management).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to define and establish appropriate overall performance management.
• Ability to establish a culture of improvement.
• Ability to adapt and use multiple forms of interaction styles.
• Ability to work in a multicultural context.
