Mar 28, 2025 - Internship Program at Reproductive Freedom for All is hiring a remote Summer 2025 National Youth Organizing Intern. 💸 Salary: $18.67/hour. 📍Location: USA.
Role Description
This internship involves working with the Youth Organizing Manager to lead the National Youth Action Council during the summer.
- Attend leader meetings & Action Council meetings
- Lead on recruiting new members to the National Youth Action Council
- Host bi-weekly summer phonebanks or Impactive Power Hours for members
- Help train National Youth Action Council Members
- Attend summer festivals and tabling events in coordination with the Youth Organizing Manager's summer goals
- Manage the Youth Organizing Close Friends Page, including posting content daily, messaging members, and brainstorming fun activities
- Own and lead a final August event with the National Youth Action Council in coordination with leaders and members
Final Deliverable
The final deliverable will be the August event with the National Youth Action Council, which will have the following requirements:
- Goal of 50 in attendance
- Either Virginia election focused or August recess focused
- Must be virtual and partly led by volunteers
- Incorporates Impactive in some way
Learning Opportunities
- Learn about the reproductive freedom movement and the status of policies affecting rights in states and federally
- Understand key grassroots organizing tactics critical to mobilizing communities and winning campaigns
- Develop leadership and collaboration skills transferable to future work
- Learn how to work with volunteers and train emerging leaders in grassroots organizing
- Gain insights on winning electoral campaigns and electing reproductive freedom champions
- Acquire professional development skills like planning, project development, and project management
- Use tools like VAN, Scale to Win, Slack, Impactive, and Control Shift
Qualifications
- Previous grassroots or electoral organizing experience (professional or volunteer) or a demonstrated interest in organizing
- Experience organizing others to get involved in a cause
- Excitement to talk to people one-on-one or in groups about reproductive rights
- Interest in gaining professional experience in politics and organizing
- Open to working some nights and weekends to attend campaign events
- Not mandatory, but let us know if you speak multiple languages
- Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a workplace environment in which diversity is valued and supported
