[Hiring] Strategic Sourcing Specialist III - Facilities & Construction @Geisinger

Role Description

The Sourcing Specialist III works independently and strategically to identify, project plan, implement and monitor supply chain expense or utilization opportunities to optimize total organizational expenses. As part of the Sourcing team, works collaboratively with clinical and operational leadership in a team-based environment to optimize the selection, standardization and utilization of product and services for the organization. This position has operational responsibility in collaboration with Supply Chain subdivisions to ensure that product and services are priced accurately, available timely, carried in the appropriate quantities and locations, and delivered in the most efficient manner to meet patient care needs.

• Conducts advanced analytics and scenario-based outcome assessments to inform business operations regarding potential Total Cost of Ownership impact from category changes.
• Optimizes product and service expense and pricing, generating value opportunities through supply market analysis, value analysis, benchmarking, and utilization assessment.
• Conducts competitive analysis and bidding, develops and executes negotiation strategies with suppliers, and implements required contractual agreements.
• Evaluates all contractual agreements, proposals, and negotiates commercial terms, including business risk and adherence to guidelines.
• Monitors assigned portfolio expenses post-contract execution to ensure category/contract compliance and enacts a semi-annual pipeline of savings opportunities.
• Ensures accuracy, data integrity, and validity in all work.
• Performs in-depth analysis on each assigned request to ensure accurate financial comparisons for comprehensive value-based decisions.
• Facilitates Value Analysis meetings as required.
• Develops complex bid solicitations, proposal reviews, and vendor negotiations to optimize contractual terms.
• Ensures all bidding activity is conducted in an open, fair, and transparent procurement process that meets ethical standards.
• Persuades, influences, and negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts with vendors to meet strategic objectives.
• Identifies stakeholders, suppliers, team members, and builds and maintains relationships aligned with a segmented supply strategy.
• Adheres to standard work applications to achieve objectives and deliverables within a finite timescale and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contract Management, Facilities Procurement, Construction Procurement, or a related field (Required)
