[Hiring] Strategic Sourcing Specialist I @Centene Corporation

Role Description

This role will support our Member Transportation and Personal Emergency Response System procurement team as an entry-level Strategic Sourcing Analyst I.

• Lead and support contract negotiations; work with business, procurement management, and legal through the contracting process.
• Develop and execute Request for Information and Request for Proposals (RFI, RFP) to gain understanding of market dynamics and supplier’s position within the market.
• Lead tactical negotiations on small impact contracts, with support on strategy, technique, and messaging.
• Connect with internal customers to identify business needs and develop scope of project.
• Understand and communicate SS&P goals and objectives and how the standard strategic sourcing process supports these goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in project management or negotiations.

Requirements

• Healthcare or government procurement experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of sourcing, contracting, and vendor onboarding.
• Skilled in contract drafting, negotiations, and category management.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in Word, including redlining documents.
• Collaborates well with teams and business partners.
