[Hiring] Strategic Sourcing Specialist @Abacus

Role Description

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will lead sourcing activities across company-wide initiatives. You will be the primary expert and point of contact for low-risk supplier engagements, from proof-of-concept through enterprise adoption. Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure responsible adoption of technology solutions. This role is perfect for someone passionate about technology and adept at balancing innovation with risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate supplier onboarding and the purchase order process.
• Act as the Program Management Officer for pilots and new supplier onboarding.
• Collaborate with various business units to establish supplier strategies and risk frameworks.
• Negotiate complex supplier contracts to protect DoorDash's interests.
• Deliver measurable business impact through supplier consolidation and cost optimization.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sourcing and procurement experience.
• Proven track record in managing sourcing pilots and adoption programs.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in structuring complex SaaS/software contracts.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Legal, Finance, and Product teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience with Sourcing and Project management tools such as Coupa, Zip, Intelagree, Monday.com.

Preferences

• Experience in sourcing technology categories, especially managing software categories.
• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and risk-aware decision-making.
• MBA or advanced degree.
