[Hiring] Strategic Sourcing Category Manager @Trinity Health

Role Description

Leads strategic sourcing activities for complex small to medium initiatives with the ability of achieving significant cost reductions, supplanted with year-over-year cost and productivity improvements in the total cost of goods and services procured while maintaining or improving product quality and vendor service levels.

• Manages several simultaneous competitive sourcing processes.
• Conducts complex contract negotiations of high value.
• Limits exposure to the System on high-risk projects.
• Maintains business relationships with suppliers and Trinity's group purchasing organization (GPO).
• Negotiates terms supporting business plan objectives and protects Trinity from business continuity risk.
• Monitors supplier performance and conducts business reviews.
• Represents Trinity's interest on advisory boards and supports contract implementation across the ministry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a clinical discipline.
• 5 years of relevant Supply Chain work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Appropriate technical certification (i.e., CQM, CPM, CPIM) desirable.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to construct and execute multiple complex analyses (e.g., Total Cost of Ownership, Economic Value to Customer, Net Present Value).
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required.
