Role Description

Global Procurement is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost, and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers, and patients. The Advisor, Fluid Management, supports the development and execution of strategic projects by:

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies with the support of cross-functional teams.
• Create RFPs & align associated business award recommendations in accordance with Cardinal Health’s global sourcing process.
• Conduct global supplier discoveries and execute supplier due diligence.
• Support a portfolio of projects assigned to the Fluid Management COU.
• Perform and produce analytics that contribute to the formation of budgets and effective P&L management.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives that facilitate business owners achieving their goals and financial targets.
• Directly manage negotiations with key suppliers requiring a detailed strategic plan.
• Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale and drive cost savings.
• Develop creative solutions to resolve issues.
• Estimate Landed Cost using LCM tool.
• Track and manage implementation of price lists.
• Manage the NDA processes for the team.
• Support as an SME in ordering samples within Cardinal.
• Manage critical contracts and ensure they drive value for Cardinal Health.
• Support Global Sourcing Managers as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing targets and global strategic sourcing strategies for an FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer or a healthcare company with annual sales more than $5 billion, preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience developing and implementing requirements/change management methodologies, preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience developing and implementing requirements to enhance day-to-day sourcing activities, preferred.
• Knowledge of the strategic sourcing procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices, preferred.
• Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues, preferred.
• Experience in coordinating and facilitating executive management meetings, preferred.
• Strong project and process management skills, preferred.
• Experience with contract requirements to negotiate critical terms and conditions, preferred.
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and familiarity with Tableau, preferred.
• Ability to read specifications, drawings, etc., preferred.
• Experience of leading global cross-functional teams within a large matrix organization, preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain processes, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willing to travel up to 15% for business purposes.
