Role Description

The ICC Service Desk Unit is looking to enhance the capacity of the team to support operations in the delivery of support services to its customers following IT frameworks and standards.

This position is required to provide skilled, experienced, and service-oriented Storage and Backup Engineer expertise, including:

• Architecture, design, implementation, and day-to-day administration.
• Onboarding new services and adapting solutions to evolving technologies and customer needs.
• Ensuring reliable, secure, and recoverable infrastructure.

The consultant must work independently and collaboratively, providing technical expertise and delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant IT work experience in managing and configuring enterprise Storage and Backup environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience in the administration and troubleshooting of block and file storage systems.
• Excellent knowledge in the installation and administration of Enterprise Backup systems.
• Expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for storage and backup infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of storage technologies and data protection best practices.
• Good understanding of networking technologies.
• Working experience in shell scripting and automation tools.
• Customer-centric approach to delivery and problem solving.
• Good knowledge of ITIL service management methodology.

Requirements

• Experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure or Software Defined Storage solutions.
• Good presentation skills and ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Experience with service reporting and business analytics.
• Experience with cloud storage solutions.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.

Benefits

• Teleworking option based on schedule and rotation.
• Overtime fees: 125% of the daily rates from Mondays to Saturdays, 150% on Sundays & UNICC Public Holidays.
