Role Description

As a Startup Event Ambassador, you’ll attend events on behalf of the company and help introduce attendees to our platform. This is not a hard sales role. You are not expected to close deals, pitch investors, or give technical demos.

• Starting conversations

• Encouraging interested people to scan a QR code to sign up
• Identifying strong leads
• Representing the brand professionally at events

Your exact script is as follows:

• When asked about the company, say: "We're a stealth startup with a team of 30+ launching something special soon. What I can say is that it's a new kind of social network – less about content, more about commerce but not just shopping. The platform is designed to tap into existing behavior and positioned to grow independent of economic uncertainty."
• Ask (investors): "Would you like to be on a short list for early access with preferred terms?"
• Ask (non-investors): "Would you like to be on a short list for early access?"

Your Playbook:

• Step 1: Find and attend events using tools such as Lu.ma, Meetup, Eventbrite
• Step 2: Ask questions, people love talking about themselves
• Step 3: Strike up conversations (with the script above)
• Step 4: Invite prospective investors and founders to join our “first look shortlist”; present a QR code to streamline sign up and collect their phone number and email
• Step 5: Ask for referrals and invitations to other public or private events
• Step 6: Pass on leads to our team to qualify and engage

Qualifications

• You do NOT need startup or investor experience.
• We care far more about energy, communication skills, and reliability than formal experience.
