Role Description

The Stage Supervisor is a key leader in the Cruise Department, focused on delivering a vibrant and "Remarkably Arabian" experience. This role involves supporting the Entertainment Technical Manager and Cruise Director in ensuring all technical elements of the Theater Entertainment program are delivered to the highest standard.

• Directs and supports the Rigging & Automation Technician and Theater - Technical Stage Staff.
• Ensures daily responsibilities of administration, supervision, and leadership for all Audio-Visual equipment and personnel.
• Must have experience in handling technical equipment such as sound, light, and rigging.
• Strong working knowledge of all onboard entertainment technical systems.
• Excels in team management, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and guest service.
• Maintains a collaborative and positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong command of both verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Arabic is desired.
• In-depth working knowledge of Dante Audio Networks, Digico & Grand MA show control systems.
• Demonstrated experience in motivating, leading, and engaging a diverse workforce.
• Ability to work and excel in a team environment and individually.
• Flexibility in terms of last-minute changes in itineraries, activities, and events.

Requirements

• Acts as an audio-visual troubleshooter to help solve equipment or stage problems.
• Manages the usage and operational maintenance of all audio-visual equipment.
• Supervises and coordinates daily schedules for the Rigging & Automation Technician and Theater - Technical Stage Staff.
• Responsible for the projection of films and/or video material.
• Designs or oversees the design of lighting, sound, and stage effects.
• Performs daily physical reviews of all lounges and venues to verify optimal lighting and audio levels.
• Oversees key events throughout the voyage, ensuring adherence to brand standards and SOPs.
• Provides daily interaction with Guests and outstanding customer service.
• Leads regular meetings with direct reports and attends departmental meetings as required.
• Directs, coaches, supports, supervises, and evaluates job performance of team members.
• Provides on-the-job training and coaching to staff members.
• Assists in conducting regular inspections of all Entertainment areas.
• Maintains complete records of equipment failures and requests for repair or replacement.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of inventory related to both equipment and supplies.
• Maintains ongoing communication with the Entertainment Technical Manager and direct reports.
• Ensures department adheres to grooming standards in alignment with brand expectations.
• Responsible for performing Safety, Environmental, and Emergency Response duties as assigned.
• Completes daily checks of all Theater Technical working and storage areas.
