Role Description

We are seeking a hands-on individual contributor to take ownership of the performance, reliability, and evolution of our NetSuite environment and financial systems. This role is ideal for someone who wants to become the organization’s definitive NetSuite subject-matter expert – not by managing a team, but by serving as the strategic and operational owner of the platform.

You will lead the configuration, integrations, data integrity, controls, and overall roadmap for NetSuite, ensuring the platform effectively supports our finance function and broader business needs. This is an opportunity to have significant ownership and influence over how our financial systems operate, while building deep expertise in one of the company’s most critical platforms.

You'll sit at the intersection of accounting, finance, and technology (with operational visibility). Some of your time will be strategic: shaping the platform roadmap, identifying opportunities for automation, and deciding what we should build next. Other days will be highly tactical: sitting with the AP team, Procurement, AR to understand why a workflow is broken and fix it before lunch.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the details of how the business actually operates. You'll uncover the shadow spreadsheets, manual workarounds, and process gaps that have accumulated over time; understand why they're there; and turn them into scalable solutions within the system.

The best improvements won't always come from a perfectly written requirements document. They'll come from your ability to see where work is unnecessarily difficult and determine how technology, process, or both can make it better.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, FinTech, or related field required.
• Equivalent practical experience with NetSuite, financial systems, and business applications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 6+ years of experience administering NetSuite in a finance or accounting environment, ideally including OneWorld / multi-subsidiary.
• Strong command of NetSuite configuration, including SuiteFlow, saved searches, custom records and fields, forms, roles and permissions, and reporting.
• Solid understanding of core finance and accounting processes, including GL, AP, AR, and the monthly/quarterly close, and how those processes map to NetSuite.
• Demonstrated ability to own improvement initiatives end to end – from stakeholder discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Strong business judgment and the ability to distinguish between problems that require technology and problems that require process change.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and a genuine curiosity about how the business works.
• Fluency with AI tools and demonstrated examples of using them to improve productivity, problem-solving, automation, or system development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• SuiteScript (JavaScript) development experience.
• NetSuite certification, such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or ERP Consultant.
• Experience integrating NetSuite with BI or data-warehouse platforms.
• Experience leading or supporting a NetSuite implementation, subsidiary rollout, major upgrade, or significant transformation.
