Role Description

This role is part of Genius’ team that helps sports leagues and teams boost performance on and off the field using cutting-edge tech, analytics, and visual insights.

As a Sports Data Operator, you’ll help power our live products by:

• Collecting and validating real-time tracking and play-by-play data using specialised in-house software.
• Confirming teams, lineups, and players with precision.
• Monitoring events as they happen.
• Flagging issues to Game Supervisors and contributing feedback in post-game reviews.

This role is an entry-level position with a Service provider contract, remote position based in Colombia.

Qualifications

• Passion for sports with working knowledge of Basketball and Football (rules, lineups, gameplay).
• Exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset; high accuracy in live environments.
• Strong English communication and solid computer literacy; quick to learn specialised tools.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-directed, comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Calm under pressure with excellent time management and multitasking during live games.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (min. 10 hrs/week).
• Reliable high-speed internet (≥50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload) and a suitable remote setup.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with sports data entry, play-by-play QA, or tracking systems.
• Prior work in live operations, game supervision, or quality assurance.
• Comfort with basic reporting/dashboards (e.g., spreadsheets) to share findings and trends.
