[Hiring] Sourcing Specialist @Victaulic

Role Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Asia Pacific Sourcing & Logistics, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic supplier partnerships across Asia to support Victaulic's global supply chain. You will ensure the reliable, cost-effective supply of components and commodities by driving supplier performance, mitigating supply risks, and implementing sourcing strategies that support business growth, quality standards, and operational excellence worldwide.

What You’ll Build & Own

• New suppliers identification, assessment and establishment for required commodities/components in line with Victaulic Corp. procedures and business practices.
• Management of the related approved suppliers, including measurement and improvement of responsible Asian suppliers’ capacity, price, lead time, stock, delivery, packaging, logistics, communication, etc.
• Coordinate with QA and related Engineering personnel to closely work with responsible suppliers on solving quality issues.
• Analysis and interpretation of Asian quote packages representing Victaulic global requirements including Asian plants.
• Negotiation and agreement of global supply contracts for selected commodities and components for Victaulic globally.
• Timely communication of updated Victaulic requirements, practices & processes to responsible Asian suppliers.
• Timely search, identify and develop new suppliers, obtain, negotiate and present quotations from selected suppliers.
• Issue sample or pattern orders to suppliers after quotations are approved and effectively follow up the sampling processes.
• Work in a cross-functional environment and implement necessary purchasing tasks as the role of Sourcing Specialist.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sourcing experience including supplier identification, development and qualifications.
• Supplier performance scorecard management with a detail-oriented manner.
• Fundamental products and manufacturing knowledge of ductile iron casting, fabrication, and various valves used in piping systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Self-motivated, result-driven/goal-oriented with customer focus and sense of urgency.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia region and work flexibly as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Fluency in English and Chinese language skills (verbal and written communications).
• A plus for working in a cross-functional environment and/or in a global culture.
