Role Description
The Sourcing Lead will be responsible for managing sourcing projects and vendor relationships across multiple categories and geographies.
- Experience with Sourcing, Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain
- Manage sourcing projects end to end
- Identify good vendors and treat them as partners
- Drive price discovery with an understanding of material and assembly costs
- Manage a team and delegate projects while maintaining urgency
- Source products across various industries, including:
- Apparel and Textiles
- Fashion Accessories
- Beauty & Personal Care
- Consumer Electronics
- Tools & Hardware
- Food & Beverages
- Gifts & Crafts
- Health & Medical
- Home & Garden
- Office & School Supplies
- Packaging & Printing
- Rubber & Plastics
- Building Materials
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience
- 2+ years managing a team
- Sourcing experience in multiple industries
- Costing experience with multiple products
- Experience working directly with customers to drive transactions
- History of operating vendor databases and building vendor rating systems
- Extremely resourceful and appropriately frugal
Requirements
- Regular engagement with Business Development & Channel Partners
- Clear focus on Business / Transaction outcomes
- Efficient vendor onboarding
- Prioritize and delegate open sourcing activities
- Drive authentic relationships with vendors
- Help shorten sales cycles from lead to close
- Collaborative mindset and team spirit
- Understand customer needs
- Experience in Private Label, White Label and Custom manufacturing
- Result oriented and over-communicative
