Role Description

The Solutions Engineer serves as a technical and operational partner across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product. This role combines knowledge of accounting and finance operations with the technical expertise and communication skills needed to translate complex business challenges into compelling software solutions.

• Collaborate closely with the sales team to participate in process discovery and solution scoping.
• Understand customer workflows, operational challenges, business requirements, and technical considerations before demonstrations.
• Help validate requirements, develop solution strategies, and deliver tailored demonstrations that connect onPhase capabilities to customer needs.
• Support marketing initiatives, represent onPhase at industry events, and share customer and market insights with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, implementation, or a related role in enterprise software or a similar industry.
• Working knowledge of accounting and finance operations, particularly Accounts Payable, invoice processing, approval workflows, vendor management, or payment processes.
• Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear business value.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams to develop solution strategies and support customer-facing engagements.
• Technical aptitude and an understanding of software integrations, business workflows, and enterprise application environments.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, typically for quarterly trade shows, onsite customer meetings, and other business engagements.

Requirements

• Familiarity with document capture technologies, intelligent data extraction, and invoice automation.
• Understanding of the vendor payment landscape, including payment methods, provider ecosystems, reconciliation, and common operational challenges.
• Experience with ERP’s such as NetSuite, Sage, SAP as well as accounting systems, or Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
• Background in accounting, finance operations, Accounts Payable, enterprise software implementation, or business process automation.
• Experience hosting webinars, presenting at industry events, or supporting sales and marketing initiatives.
