[Hiring] Small Business Event Planner @Founded in 1995, ESN

Role Description

We are seeking a Small Business Event Planner. This is a Telework role with extensive domestic travel required.

• Plan, organize, and execute specialized events that identify and match needs of US Air Force and Department of Defense customer organizations with innovative and relevant technology solutions developed by SBIR/STTR companies.
• Develop and employ highly tailored procedures and instructional guidance to communicate effectively with a wide range of Air Force and Department of Defense mission support customers, including acquisition, research, test, and sustainment organizations, as well as Major Defense Contractors and subcontractors.
• Support processes for further investigation of technology transition candidates resulting from the events mentioned above as candidates for potential integration and deployment in Air Force and defense-related programs, systems, and applications.
• Provide event support to design thinking workshops, crowdsourcing, collaboration showcase events, and innovative contracting events that cast a wide net for industry and academic innovators to apply their latest technologies and solutions to government problems and accelerate the path from idea to a deployed solution.
• Support weekly virtual events, meetings, and webinars via ZoomGov and Hop In platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business or Communications related field or at least 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Five (5) years of first-hand experience planning, organizing, and executing large (300+ attendees) events including conferences, conventions, symposiums, meetings, and training sessions.
• Possess at least five (5) years of experience directly supporting Air Force or DoD small business organizations.

Requirements

• Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
